i am about to do a 2l conversion in my eski and im pretty sure the exhaust and the carbie are on the opposite sides from the 1600 x-flow, and i also noticed that where the rear muffler is at the moment, there is a gap between the leaf spring and the tank where the muffler goes (left side) and there is only a small gap on the other side, would i haveto fun a sidepipe or somehow get the exhaust over to the left side where it originally was.. any help is appreciated, thanks

In response to you question. No the exhaust is not squeezed in between the tank and leaf, but it is usually (or on my escort and my mates) it is bent somewhere roughly where the tailshaft meets the back of the gear box (to the other side where the 1.6L exhaust travels), there is infact enough room for it to sit nicely without hanging lower than any other parts on your car. You are correct the carby and other part are on the other side, also radiator must be brought forward by cutting into the shroud, (very simple) any other questions just PM me.
