I believe it's eight, after that it automatically resets to "Lada" and you start over :P

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Are the 4 smilies beside comments people have made?

Yeah , 4 indivual smilies, from 4 different threads from 4 different people.
Would It be because on of them is from a member with less than 50 Rep power??

Yes .... the amount of reps someone has determines the amount added to your smiley count.

'Bad' .... as in 'Good'? If you had a red smiley, doesn't even mean that you have been bad ... just said something in a post that may have not been warranted.

No, the number of smilies you see in your User CP is a a reflection of how many times you have been "awarded" rep points. Every time someone gives you "rep" you will see more and more smilies in your User CP.

The smilies you see under your avatar in threads are representative of your Rep score, somewhere in the first few pages of this thread is a basic chart of how many smilies are displayed for how many "Rep points" you have accumulated.

The smilies in your User CP and the smilies under your avatar in threads are unrelated - other than the fact that you can't have one without the other.

As an example, if you have been "repped" 10 times by members, you will see 10 smilies in your User CP. More points come from users with high rep points, less points come from users with less points - so, whilst you may see 10, 20 or 100 smilies in your User CP, the smilies under your avatar in threads simply represent the total of points you have been awarded - not how often you have been recognised.

Clear as mud?

Heres your badge Norm : 100 IIRC is as high as you can go but you can accumulate more smilies into a 2nd row

The limit of 100 is an artificial cap imposed on Admins and Super Mods - other member groups have no cap.

Cheers

Taking DM donations of $100 or more to "reduce 4vman rep count"

$100=500 rep points
$1000=reset to negative 1000

For every simley face Norm loses, a polar bear dies in Antartica.

Chuck Norris would even shed a tear should this happen
