Hey thats not too bad. Same car as mine and your 6 months older than me. I might get a quote from RACV for interests sake.
Are you allowed unlimited mods without paying more but as long as you tell them about them?

I cant mention what my insurance is cause its all done in dads name but i know i got quoted for my EF XR6 by AAMI 6000$ a year, reason why? i was asked if i had any crashes, loss of licence blah blah, i had lost my licence and that boosted the in thing by 4500$ with the current insurance its under 750$ fully comp, if proven i crashed the car if i ever, will cost 900$ excess compared to every other which is 1200$ average. Alot of technicallities thats why i cant mention, but i hold a card with everything i have to say if god forbid the day happens lol : hehe only prob now is have to pay full price for rego, i cant use my health care card HAHA

well guess what arrived in mail today

insurrance renewel.

and boy am i unhappy. why?
because they have changed their rules yet again. no choice given to the consumer.
agreed value $2200...how about get %$#@ed.
how do they expect you to buy a equal quality (straight/clean) lowish km EA s pac with same quality replaced parts (alternator/aircon so on) for that price.
not to mention none of the decent mods are covered (bar floor mats and a couple of other things adding to the grand total of $250 woopy tee do)

their fine print info pack leaves me with even more unanswered questions that need answers in writing (which i will start tomorrow)

i go to the trouble to protect my ride (imobiliser / gsm tracking / kill switch / lock nuts on wheels (debatable i know)) and they cover jack didly.
everyones input has been a great read....esp when now im thinking of changing.

Being 30 or over with a rating 1 definately has it's benefits with car insurance.
