I'm a girly and broke up with my guy a couple of weeks ago. He didnt know anything about cars anyway (not to mention the selfish dick that he is anyway)... that should of been the warning sign! lol. So newly single woop woop!!!
I only know one guy thats ford fan, let alone girls that like cars! I had to walk the Ford stand alone at this years motor show cause James (james_rickard on the old forums) couldnt make it, and the guys i went with have NO idea about cars.. 2 partially do but they were still coming to me for info lol. I wanted to smack jareds head in cause he was being such a nong about fords!! Its funny anytime someone comes into my work wearing something ford i always congratulate them. I have told a few of them about this site too, but no idea whether they joined or not. Maybe we could go pink on the forums.. if holdens going HOT PINK it must be cool *rolls eyes*

If you want to make it a little nicer for us girlies, why not move the names and avatars to the right hand side of the screen, signatures to the top of the posts, and change the font to something else.
Then next week, change it all back again ..... Just joking - taking the **** out of my gender! Why try to attract more girlies? Why the need for a quota? Just attract people who like Fords - that's all that matters isn't it? |

I didn't read all the posts in this thread but I thought it would be a joke until Minge stepped in with the "how do we change the image" style question....
Admittedly sourbastards first post cracked me up - it was hilarious.. I think that women will find their way here on their own (and with maybe a little advertising nudging through things like the AFD and cruises). They are far more informed than they have ever been. When I look around the streets, the majoirty of NEW car drivers are female. I've seen more chicks in AU's, BA's, VY's, etc than I have males, and thats not counting company cars. Today at work the two ladies in the office were talking about their cars. One lady who is 23 drives a BA XR6 and loves it. The other lady who is a bit older has a VX Gen3 and was telling us today about how they were getting a new exhaust without a "ressonny, umm rezza" "resonator?" "Yeah a resonator" to make their Gen3 sound like a proper 8. I was tempted to throw in a comment about Gen3's then but I held back cos she might have thought I was making fun of her. I will never forget my first day of marketing class when we had a sales rep from BMW (our head lecturer drives a BMW lol) come and talk to us. And he said that when a couple walks in he will always concentrate on the wife, because they generally control the buying power of the couple. So with a bit of careful advertising at the right places I think females will come in droves. After all, Fords are almost back in fashion lol.. It's good to see females in the forums, nothing wrong with asking silly questions if you have them, at one stage in EVERYONE'S lives we all know NOTHING about cars.. Daniel.. |

Oh and we can all wear ties..
I turned up to work on Wednesday in a tie, all the guys said that I don't need to wear a tie (being in export sales, etc). So on Thursday I didn't wear a tie. All the females said "why aren't you wearing a tie?" Today I wore a tie Males - "You really don't have to wear a tie" Females - "That looks so much better, makes people think you have respect for your position." |

Am I too late to let you guys know that I am a chick...
A lass with only blue blood, my eyes are blue and shaped like the oval. My radiator always keeps its cool... These are a few reasons why i am a ford chick (really my eyes are normal shape and green) But again, i am a taken girl...
