[QUOTE=rodderz]Who wants their MR. Mateeeyyy??

Wow I forgot about Mr Matey, I can just remember the ad " I want my Mr Mateeyy I want my fun bath, please, he he he he"

I know most of you are blokes on here but I used to love Degrassi Junior High, watched it every afternoon just before dinner was ready.

I used to love Boris' Breakfast Club, watched him every morning. I can still remember the tune to the opening of the show. He used to have that monkey puppet called O'Toole, I think and a green dragon used to sit up in the arch way.

Any way I joined Boris' Breakfast Club and I got sent a special membership pack in the mail, there was a big iron on transfer of Boris' head, well my mum ironed it on the front of my sports shirt for school. Boy was I popular at school, got laughed at and ended up with the nickname Boris. I will never forgive my mum for that.....

Damn I'm only 20 and I know half this stuff. Mind you Foxtel has given me all the joys of late 70's/early 80's TV. CHIPS, the A-Team, A Country Practise, Dukes of Hazzard, etc, etc.

Maybe we need to start a thread for all us 20-25 year olds. Jeez we've got heaps. Fast Forward, the real old Full Frontal (yeah 94 doesn't seem old), Police Rescue, The Bill before it sucked. All the old NES games. Duck Hunt! That AFL game with the corny as hell voice over. Captain Planet! Agro's Cartoon Connection, Saturday Disney. Malcolm Douglas and Les Hiddins, none of this Steve Erwin crap. Wasn't it usually on Saturday night right before Hey Hey? And channel 9 had the re-run of Burke's Backyard from the Friday before?

Yeah, I was born 15 years too late.

And Neville, the concrete aboriginal! Try doing that today! Political correctness meant the turning up to parliment on time back then!

Ok, this is one for the older kids as I'm not sure it was ever repeated on TV.
Did anyone else see the episode of Simon Townsends Wonder World where he cried when telling everyone Woodrow the dog had died?

Its one thing watching reruns or your parents telling you or "having something in the attic" but its another thing altogether living this stuff as it happened.

Yes I do actually remember watching that episode, it was a really day :(

Do you know what's actually scarier than living this sort of stuff the first time.. its actually remembering things as if it was only a few short years ago then realising just how many years ago it all really is / was!!!!!! e

I have actually had a few laughs with the teens carrying on about 'how cool' certain songs are... then watch them freak out after I have said that it was from my teen years :
or better still, from their grandparents teen years :hihi:

Ok Casper, while this thread has been awesome to reflect etc... did you really have to make us all realise our ages (would much prefer to forget) :

I assume this is the same play list that has a few Kate Bush songs on it.
