If you look at the history of what most govt do with our money, enquiries/ environmental impact studies/numerous overseas trips (purely in aust interests..yeah right.)/ more enquiries/more environment impact statements/hiring companies and consultants that are family friends at ridiculas costs, or have back door interests in the politican's own companies.

It seem like a better idea to give us back some of our taxes. they are gonna blow it anyway.

Definitely going towards my XC. Not that I really need the money, it's just fastening up the process of getting it on the road

spending on infrastructure will not have the desired result the money needs to be circulating in the economy quickly where infrastructure expeniture results in much slower release of the money than required. to those who choose to save it instead of spend it as is needed to boost the economy you are greedy and un Australian. this money is being given to you for a reason but you are too self centred to care about kick starting the economy. this money is intended to be spent so spend it , what you spend it on is not an issue as long as the money is circulating

Does anyone know if the 80k threshold includes the FBT value of a company vehicle ontop of your normal gross or what your salary component is only???

Your right that governments do waste a lot and its good for us to get some back, The problem I see with this scheme is they are borrowing money to do it, If they were taking it out of surplus it would still be concerning but to borrow money to give us a hand out seems crazy to me I would rather see them go into debt for major infrastructure projects roads, dams, hospitals ect.

As for spending my $950.00 will probably buy tools for my business.

Funny about that, Cheech and Chong will be touring here in April. You can put part of the $950 towards tickets.

But slow release is sustainable, this isnt.. this handout is from borrowings not budget surplus... kRudd doesn't have the money, he's handing out something he'll have to take back later on.. plus interest.
"Investing" the handout will go some way to insulating yourself for when the inevitable happens... he takes it back.

I was gonna put it into an account for my kids, then i thought perhaps i should use it to solve world hunger.
Buy then i got thinking, if a few of us chipped in, we could almost buy the United States.

Then i woke up and remembered that were not gonna have a recession or a depression, houses prices will NOT fall and muscle cars WILL continue to increase in value.

Now YOU must believe me as I have used CAPITALS to get my point accross

Got a baby on the way, trying to save money, so it will go into the baby fund. Will probably be spent from there on baby stuff and debt (if anything is left over)
