Default Peter Warren All Ford Day 2008

Hi everyone,

The Peter Warren All Ford Day is happening on Sunday August 17th at the Warwick Farm racecourse. This is traditionally a HUGE day, with Ford clubs from all over the country taking part.

To say that I've had trouble getting some decent information from the organisers of this event is a major understatement. That said what I have found out is that due to some fairly major renovations, the regular display areas are not being used this year. Instead, the display area will be in front of the grandstand, between (I believe) the grandstand and the track.

Entry is $20 per car and the organisers have said that they prefer pre-payment of entry fees to help them get everyone in as quickly as possible. We can sort that out closer to the event.

We have a number of people who are keen to attend and they will be making it a day trip - they will mosy likely be leaving Canberra at about 4-4.30am

If you're wanting to attend, please add your name to the list here:

I'd love to attend this one, but I'm not sure its a possibility. Be the first one I've missed in the past 5 years.

Hi everyone,

Please find attached a picture of Warwick Farm racecourse showing where we were last year and where the car displays will be this year (thanks Glenn for knocking this up).

I've finally received information from the organisers about the event, and I have emailed it to all club members. If you haven't received it and would like a copy, PM me and I'll get it straight out to you.

Righto, lets start firming up meeting points and departure times. Richard, when do the guys want us in the gates. I suggest it will be a 2.5 hr drive (max) from the Shell servo at EPIC.

So Shell Servo at 6:00 or 5:30? (giving a 8:30 or 08:00 arrival)

Or do we need to be in earlier?

???

I think we may have to be a little earlier...

If we leave at 5.00am with a stop for breakfast somewhere we should get to Warwick farm around 8.00am...

any sugestions....

The gates open at 6.30am and seeing as room is going to be tight it would be best to get in early.... The gates close for entrants at 9.00am..

Looks like we may have 10 or 11 cars... Plus a 6 x 3 Marquee ( approx another car space )

I think a 0500 start at Shell EPIC sounds good. We'll have some breakfast at either Goulburn or Exeter, and then onto Warrick Farm. See you bright and early. Remember to bring a UHF so you can get involved in the banter. I see Dave C is coming :evil3:
