I'm seriously looking at going down this road, decided i'm gunna be keeping my car for a while so what else would be recommended when going through this process, just thinking of the strength of my 175kw fairmont motor even though its been dyno tuned to 213fwkw now.

Hey all, yeah i've got a question. My engine has almost 150,000km on it what should i be looking at getting checked out before using a raptor supercharger? Oh and is there a new pulley attached to the motor (like a dual pulley) i cant tell from the pics where the belt from the supercharger goes to?
Thanks Pete.

150,000km is fine too. Mines done 164,000km and still going strong. As long as your engine isnt blowing large amounts of smoke, you'll be fine. Its your trans you need to be sure of.

mines got 220 000+ and 50 000 of those are mine and they weren't easy kms. Runs good about 9psi no tune, i think you'll be fine with 150 000. The charger has only been on for about 2000km.

All going well so far I know

Possibly trying one on a T series AU in the near future if it works out. Numbers should potentially be bigger again than the very impressive results from XR23IL.

I'd be a bit concerned strapping a blower to the T3 stroker without a strengthened bottom end, there have been some that have split blocks around the 250rwkw mark and that was NA.

probably need to upgrade the system to a SVI. The mixer ring setup doesnt react well to positive boost pressure. Its been done on a turbo though, just not on a supercharged setup.

XR23IL Have you had a chance to take it down the qtr yet and are you still running the generic tune?

I should receive my SC kit in the next few days, its going into an ED with a 200kw AU XR motor and a fair few other mods.

Cheers

Im also interested in what quarter gains these Raptors give.

Was reading about an AU with a blower the other day and all he managed was a 13.4. That cant be right.

Well considering people are getting mid 13s with the 220s with bolt ons, a 13.4 doesnt seem all that great.
