72 VH Valiant Regal. Bought it from Ballina Wreckers for $500 in 1980 . Paid it off at $50 a week . Bottle Green Metallic, Green interior , Green Carpet .. Cut the rust out..bewdiful .. 245 Column auto. 105 thous mile on the clock.
Also had traction control... With so much body roll , you would go around a corner and when traction was about to fail ( the aquajets !! ) , the float in the carby would do something ,and the car would hesitate until it got more upright.. Then away I would go .... would like to have it now.. not many VH vals about.

My first car was a 1979 Xd ute (still got it)
Second car was a 1983 Xe ute (sold it)

Now I have a 1979 Te cortina.

And I'm not even 18 yet lol.

Selling the Xd soon and buying a laser for economy.

Valiant VG safari wagon with a 215 conversion with column shift auto.

Got it for free at age 14. Did my first burnout in it. Sold it 4 weeks later for $600. Not bad considering when you looked in the boot you could see the road and the diff.

That's better than a JB's 64kw from the 1.6 lawnmower.

I don't have my own car as yet but that's ok. I only drive twice a week on average as I walk most places. I don't want an older car so I drive the folks car for now which is a VTII Acclaim. That's sad at 24, but meh...

Looking to get at least a BA though.

1977 LX SLR 5000 mock up, with 350 Chev, Roh wheels, was black and red, loved it, put it into a Power Pole and messed it up big time, moved onto a kermit Green Gemini, had it two weeks and it was totalled (someone hit me) then a Mazda 929 Luxo pack...

Skoda Estelle 120L. Mushroom grey, engine in the boot for 911-style handling (once I'd filled the front up with bessa-bricks to stop the plough-on understeer...).

It lasted 6 or 7 months before I finally killed it... it overheated and the engine caught fire leaving me stranded at the side of the road for a short time waving to passing motorists.

I'd love to have another one just for fun. Great little car. Mostly.

1978 TE Cortina Ghia with the Factory Roof.

Had the Gearstick come out on a drive to Cairns. When we went to Fitzroy Island for a couple of days locked the gearstick in the boot after reversing against a wall.
