Default testing and tagging and other questions

hi guys

wanted to ask if theres likely going to be enough work as in some work per week if you were to start a small test and tag business in 5 or 10 years time.

would only need just enough to have a bit of work each week.

reason for asking is am planing to stop doing cafe work in 5 to 10 years time where you always work every weekend and public holidays and do something that only works week days part time.

with cafes, hotels and other places like bigw or target for example after youve done it for over 10 years sometimes nearly 15 sometimes nearly 20 you get to a point where youve had enough of giving up your weekends and holidays and having irregular hours and your just hanging on until the time is right to change as changing isnt a option straight away for different reasons ( may be needing the dollars sometime may because you have good bosses and may also be you like who you work with) and sometimes you have to hang on a bit longer until time is right.

there may even be just enough work to test all electrical appliances that secondhand shops sell and if you do a course to change plugs for others you could replace the plug and cord which is often frayed, same goes for clubs and businesses.

guess youd just have to wait and see, and was wondering if itd be worth stockpiling testing tags and some equipment ready for when time comes or if theres a chance that the tags could change in 5-10 years.

or would you be better only piling up just enough to do a bit here and there.

also want to ask why food places at moment seem a bit busier than exactly same time year before, if its because of coronavirus and border restrictions then was wondering how much longer itd likely go on for and when cafes hotels will be less rushed but still busy enough to keep you going.

it seems like people in especially food industry jobs are all at point where they just need a break like emergency workers atleast for a bit and they cant have it now and suffer even though they need it badly and theyve worked so hard since june last year when people got let out and its like they couldnt wait to be let out and can understand it as no one would like being locked up and its now january 2021 and the cafes dont seem to be getting much better.

would it be true or would some just be noticing/feeling it as they have had enough after doing it for years and years and just hanging on until times right.

also wondered why people years ago had same job for a whole lifetime or atleast lasted 25 years and these days people are lucky to last 15. do you think its because of the throw away time everyone now lives in where you just throw things out when they start wearing out and not fix them, same goes for appliances. our grandparents probably had same jobs whole lifetime and us and our parents hold jobs and try to for atleast 10-15 years.

some of reasons why people dont last long may be because of the disposable time we live in or might genuinely just take something to get money while they work towards the more ideal jobs or also because of wanting it all now and the best straight away

Default Re: testing and tagging and other questions

The previous thread on this subject was deleted, so obviously another one isn't a good move.
