i have a series 1 xr au and i would like to put in a series 2 au dash part that surrounds the stereo and holds the vents will it work with out any main dramas

You will find that the air vent/aircon controls are different between the 2 series and this I would think could be customized but won't be a simple job.

I think you'll find the shape slightly different if this is the case it won't fit. the ventilation controls and electrics are significantlty different too so probably not a viable option
