Default AU centre panel removal and paint guide.

I've made a little how to PDF showing my handywork from today.

I'd rather not have to host the file myself. Is there any way to make it available here easily?
It's nearly 5MB

yup, email it to casper@aufalcon.com and I'll put it up on aufalcon.com

Would be an interesting read. Any chance of getting it in DOC form though as I dont want to have to retye the whole thing.

Well, I was hoping to keep it as a pdf so that people couldnt just steal all my pic's and copy the whole thing so easily. (There is always a way, but it makes it harder)

Yeah, I know hey!, I did it on an impulse today, forgetting about the holes until I committed to starting... and had nothing to fill it with :(

I saw 16 pages the last line page 16... end up with wear marks on it over time.
Well done Parker. Pics clear and good quality. It downloaded pretty quick via cable.

PS You are also correct re protection of your work.
It doesn't take much to get in and open it up.
I can't think of any easier way to stop it.

There is no protection of work on the internet. It would be very simple to just retype it (or scan it into a word recognition software) and cut and paste the pics out.
The truth is that that rarely happens if ever to anything like this. Russ, myself and quite a number of guys on here have written information that "could" be republishes by anyone if they felt they wanted to. Fact is that noone will probably want to.
There are a heap of articles and workshop items already on aufalcon.com, I have yet to come accross any of them being "ripped off" and doubt I ever will. All the authors have been named and have put them on the site knowing full well that it could possibly be remade or simply linked to from another site.

If you are serious about not getting it stolen then the only way to ensure that doesnt happen is to remove it from the web an publish it in a book....and even then it may be reworded and republished.

In the end its a simple but well presented and written tech doc, if people want to rip it off, they will.

I agree, there is no possible way to protect any electronic media from duplication, but at least this way it's less convenient, and will take a bit of time to do.

Not really, if they really just want to rip it off they can download the whole pdf and just slap it on their website.
Not something I would do but certainly all of about 2 minutes work.

Yeah, but then they've kept it complete so people will see that its come from somewhere else.
Anyway... enough worrying about that for now. If you want to put it on aufalcon.com, feel free.

With a PDf, can have all sorts of protection options. You can password protect it. You can generate the PDf, and prevent printing. Do a quick google, and explore your options.

I just noticed, yours is a series 2 but it hasn't come with the cassette player? I thought all series 2 come with one and series 3 didn't?

the pdf is 'print' and 'text selection' protected. Of course there are ways around this too.

To my knowledge, Series 2 had single CD standard with tape & CD, or CD and stacker as an option.
