Default Head units

Are there any specific aftermarket head units that can be integrated with the volume buttons on the steering wheel on the AU? Anyone sucessfully accomplished this?

Cheers..

Most can, but you gotta pay for it.

I got an Alpine 9831 in mine which is upper end Alpine gear, and the adapter cost $200. So I didnt bother. Plus, I much prefer the Remote

I was told it couldnt be done by a guy at Autobarn, probably didnt want the extra hassle of hooking it up

it can be done and there are modules for most makes of head units.

is just one for example. any reputable audio dealer will have them and know of them.

Will the remote still work if I hook up the volume buttons on the steering wheel?

sorry forgot to mention that most of these modules require the HU to have a remote (i think) so the answer would be yes.

Stinger have an adapter, for Pioneer models to connect to the controls. Costs $140 from some Autobahn stores.
