Default Sydney AFD - 31 May 09

Hi Guys,

I read this infomation about the Peter Warren All Ford Day in another thread. Looks like it is on, but has a change of venue. Richard, do you want it added to the events calendar?

This year show day is Sunday 31st May.

Would be good to see a heap of T's huddled together.

Maurie,
If you want to come in as a group contact Eddie for spots etc.

Choppsy.

Count you in for this week. Next week I'm sure you'll be out.

Are we doing an overnighter again? We could stay in Bankstown again, only 35 k's to Eastern Creek. Panthers is only about 25 k's and its along the Western Hwy so quicker.

It is tradition to have an overnighter for this one. I was thinking Panthers (The World of Entertainment), although there is no undercover parking. I remember some time ago when we displayed at Eastern Creek for the V8s, Stace and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Parramatta (http://www.crowneplaza.com/h/d/cp/16...uestid=174076#). For $150 a night, this would be a good option. Also, it only 15 kms from the track.

I now have my Falcon back Bucky (unlike u - little car driver 'man') so we'll see, of course if it rains next week u might be correct.

Bankstown rocks. I love it there.

I got rid of my Hairdressers car, and swapped it for a Grandpa's car.

Don't drive too fast Jim. EB's struggle to keep up with the mighty T3 Strokers.

Any update on travel plans yet and accommodation?

Apologies for the delay in replying guys.

For those staying overnight, I've found the following accommodation on Wotif:

Chifley Eastern Creek

The Chifley is literally 100 metres from the front gate of Eastern Creek Raceway, its modern and clean and a delux room is only $104. Obviously I'm not sure how many rooms they have so you might want to jump on and book a room as quickly as possible.

Cheers,

Richard

Not if the EB stroker puts out almost double the power of a stock T3 Stroker and about 3 times as much as a certain Mondeo Bucky, besides, the power to weight advantage is on my side - I have the power, you have the weight

Yeah, I'll be skipping this drag meet to represent (yo! ?) the club.

Plus there's something really disconcerting about driving for 7 hours and not remembering most of it. (highly not recommended)

$19 If you park yourself. Save $6 and 20Ks less racked up on your ride.

Not sure I'll make this now. If I do get up to Sydney, I think it will just be as a spectator.
