well its bad enough having a hose split but did it have to make such a mess of my clean engine bay!! what a *****! got home from some spirited driving and the top hose must of just split around the corner from home because it was still ****ing out when i pulled up the driveway and it didnt get hot. everythings closed so i'll have to leave it until tomorrow when i can buy a new hose..

Bad luck dude

I'd be gettin that cleaned up before it stains big time dude, it'll eat into the paint and metal and it'll never come out. Gurney might be a big help too.

Hope you get it all sorted out soon

ANy kind of water does it, so does degreasing. Done it enough times, tho my bay is just covered in oil and other crap.

Degreaser sucks for getting coolant stains off.

Go down to car lovers and hose the hell out of it with the high pressure hose, that'll fix it.

Man, that's shocking. You'd think it had a 100% coolant mix in there or something.

Will be worth cleaning ASAP.

jack once all the water evaporates away you get left with the white residue.......

horrible stuff, stinks when the engine gets warm then you get paronoid that its leaking again......

will also add, Neb..... it would pay to replace the bottom hose as well, as it will be in similar condition to the top one thats blown..

nah bottom hose was repaced not that long ago my dad accidently stabbed it with a screwdriver.. don't ask how lol. anyway all the white shit just washed off easily with the hose. i also somehow had a puddle of coolant in the airbox! well its all cleaned up now and going again. i just couldn't believe how bad it looked when i first opened the bonnet! lol

ah yep, well replacing that bottom hose caused ya top one to go prematurely IMO....
coolant went in my airbox too...... i guess when you are driving along and the hose blows the air being sucked in pulls coolant in.....wierd.

i thought it was a bit nasty when i opened my bonnet too
