Default Can't wipe the smile off my face!!!

Hey there Chris and Theo,

Just want to say a huge thank you to you guys for the work you did for me, also Chris for having a play with Dads car too. The look on his face when you came over to it with the hammer was priceless!!! I took a few guys for a drive yesterday at our Bathurst BBQ, and they were all seriously impressed. I think that the best quote has to go to Dad though, he said "Son, DO NOT take your mother for a drive in this thing, she will s*#t herself!!"

Thanks for your help and advice along the way with my mods.

Cheers,

Greg.

Hey Greg,
I told you after a BPR tune you wouldn't think it's the same car!!!

Just for a giggle, in a few months, flash the car back to stock for a day. You will feel like you're driving a 6cly..... Then flash it back and fall in love all over again!!!!

Cheers,
Mark.

Nothing was said about the box Polyal, I guess if it was to "cough, cough" break, I could always look at a 6 speed hahaha!!!

I had a look at your car while dropping my RED BEAST off at BPR on sat morning and I have to say your car does look amazing in the congo green. I was talking to Chris about your power output cause mine had the same treatment this time last year (Oil pump, tensioners and tune).

So what is the next mod? Diff gears???????????

Hey jesse,
Thanks for the kind comments, Theo did talk to me about diff gears when I dropped her off but I think that I will just stay with the mods that I have done for a while now. What sort of figures did yours put out? I have to say that I love the reverse buldge stickers that you have done on your GT!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Greg.

Mine pulled out a average of 280.2 Rwkw. Since then i fitted underdrives, had BPR fit 4.11's and now (hopefully can pick it up saturday) a performance auto rebuild.
The standard bonnet stickers on the red dont look right in my opinion so thats why i did the reverse.
Can you believe the difference the tune has made to your car??
Chris was telling me that he was surprised with your car as it felt more like a 280 Rwkw car on the road. 25 rwkw is a fair increase over standard
Mine was modded from new with all the Herrod gear and a herrod generic tune, the car pulled 267.7 Rwkw with the herrod tune but the car didnt fell right through mid range. When i got it back from Chris and Theo the first time, it was like a completly different car.
Have you been in a GT with diff gears? I was originally againist them but after another of BPR's customers took me for a spin and i was sold. If you ever want to go for a spin in mine just give me a yell.

Thanks mate, I will definately contact you to go for a spin in the GT. Theo said that 4.11's would not be what I should go for seeing as mine is only a 5 speed.

Yeah I reckon that would be a tad high, maybe 3.7's. Good to hear about the 'box, there are some really well priced BA1 GT/GTP's around and that is the only sticking point with me.

But yours and a couple others here seem to suggest with some smart driving they can handle higher power outputs.

Yeah I wont be going near 470rwkws in a hurry..LOL...definitely wont be buying until coyote is out for a while anyway but good to know your options.

Sorry GTP 044, dont mean to go off topic, your car is obviously an example of how good a BA1 can be.

The 5 Speeds stand up to some punishment and as GTP 044 said if it goes well a T56 upgrade is just a matter of spending the $ not a huge job from all reports.

Interesting stuff .

When Chris recently tuned mine ( BFGT 290 6A ) - I got 261 RWKW with the following similar mods.

DF 4 into 1 headers
X Force full stainless 2.5 inch dual zorst
YT CAI ( Chrisso challenged me to change it to his BOX - might do so in the future !!!! )

( my cats are still the factory standard units ) I have since added an Underdrive balancer and will go back to Chrisso when I have time for another run on the DYNO to check its progress.

I wonder if the cats were changed to some proper HiFlo units what the power increase would be over the standard units ??
