1.6 or 2 Litre ?? do ya wanna keep the same diff ratio ??

Mk2 Ford Escort

Sedan and Van - 2.0 litre - Auto and Manual . . 3.54:1
Sedan and Van - 1.6 litre - Auto and Manual . . 3.77:1

how did u damage it ?? Are u runnign standard set-up, or do u need a stronger diff, i heard of using a shortened ford 9-inch if you need a striong diff.

Hope this helps

Hilux diffs are the exact same width. You just have to swap over the mounting points and modify the axles. A friend has just fitted a RX7 diff in his Escort with rear discs for about $650....Looks like a good option to prevent hitting the "invisible dog."
