Great value. I'm still happy I got my XR8, that supercharger and bark/pop/crackle will keep me happy until retirement. But well done to Holden for (finally) giving their fans what they want, and seemingly pinching quite a few Ford fans in the process!

Enjoy em while we have em boys - this is our last drink, grab a few roadies while you can.

Personally I’ll be adding to it anyway so the factory tune won’t matter but it would have been nice to see 320kw or so in the brochures just so it doesn’t look so far behind the last XR8 on offer.
Plenty of options for the LS3.

Wheels October edition just came and it has a write up on the VF2.
It claims HSV use the DIN measurement where Holden is using ECE method.
It states in government documentation HSV's 340kw is only actually making 326kw.
In other words if this 304kw was fitted to HSV and tested with the DIN measurement it would probably have a 317kw badge on it.

Figures are:

Manual = 4.9 & 13.0 (manual hits 100 in 2nd gear)
Auto = 5.0 & 13.1

Even though diff ratios have been lowered the electronic rev limiter is higher (6L = 6,000rpm vs 6.2L = 6,600rpm)

Agree with express 100%. How hard is it for Ford to sell a V8 ute? They lost me when they offering the GS 315 ute with no Brembo's on it.

Just FYI for everyone....

The Performance brake upgrade is NOT Brembo's. It is a larger front disc on V8 models only. 345mm x 30mm vented with a 60mm single Piston caliper. Rear brakes are unchanged.(this came from just commodores so the exact dimensions may not be correct, BUT its not brembo...)

Only the Redline gets Brembo's and these are now front and rear, as per the MY15 Craig Lowndes edition.

Seemed too good to be true. A couple of websites will have to amend their VFII articles. A few people were speculating that the reason they redesigned the SS's 18s was to fit the brakes, so that part of it was plausible. $350 for larger fronts is still a no-brainer.

True. But the brakes on my territory are better. They should have offered at least a 32mm thick disc and twin piston. Could have used c5 c6 caliper. Obviously the brakes come from some model sold in the USA

As for the VFII, I think it's a cracking looking car. Kudos to Holden for the effort and result.
