Default To buy or not to buy...that is the Question?

Hi Guys, I have just been presented with a major dilema! :
I have come across Black, 20" Cheetah's with 2" chrome dish lips, shod with new 245/35/20 on the Rear & 225/35/20 on the fronts.
My problem is that although I am after Rims, I never imagined I could get some 20's on my ride.
Do any of you know what problems they would pose, as i dont know what questions to ask? :togo:

if the offset is right other than a harsher ride from the lower profile & it will put your speedo out a bit the only other thing you'll have to check is if they scrape on the inner guard, best bet would be if possable to try them on & see how they go.

they may also be classed as unroadworthy unless you have an engineers certificate, only ment to be able to go 1 inch over oem specs, but unlucky to get pinged for it.

check your insurance to see what they say

I asked my insurance and all they said is that the rim needs to be an inch from the guard, they dont seem to mind about the size!

I have been searching long and hard for a bargain on some wheels.
First, I came across a set of 18" BA GT-P rims for only $1000.
Then, after putting away more savings, I was ready to buy Spoolmans Mk1 F6 18'" wheels when the exhaust gave out.
Now I'm back on track and have come across a set of BA XR8 Magnet Wheels & tyres, 1 slightly scratched, 2 tyres in need of replacing & the clear coat was flaking on the other two.
It just so happens this guy runs a Panel Shop.
What do you guys think if I asked him if he could spray them up for me?
I'm thinking of going grey, like in a charcoal grey?
Any Ideas?

BTW... I snapped them up for a cool $500 :

Good deal, if you lower your car, put the wheels on and get some dark tint, I think the wheels painted darker may look good, but if not done right, would look nasty. I would stick the wheels on stock first and go from there, maybe get someone with photo shop to play around with how they will look.

The car is only lowered 2" inches at the moment, but once the wheels go on, I'll be getting some new shocks, rolling the guards, adding sway bars and the bush kit to go with them.
I want them to come out like the 'dark agent' finish on the new F6 R-Spec.

Are these the same rims as Tonyxr8? If so, Polish... Polish...Polish. Will go great with your intended fairmont chrome bits... My 2 cents.

Yep they're like Tony's Rims. I just wanted to try something a little different. Even if I get the colour tone done in the coat of clear after the polishing them of course!
