Today @ Sandown the turn out was ORSM. We arrived at 6.00am at the meet point and waited for the others to turn up. Our club put on a great display, many people gathered around and took notice of the quality of cars there especially Craigs Nitro muncher. There were many other clubs on display aswell, like the HSV Car Club, the mustang Car Club of Vic, The Corvette Car Club even a crew of drifters.
There were various others to gawk at too, from rodders, to cool 58's, to a Blown 32 Deuce, along with other Ford Car Clubs with many cars on display.
Even got to have a chat with Steven Johnson from DJR who unfortunately on the day had a massive run of bad luck.
It was an eventful day to say the least and definately glad Ford came out with the WIN....GO CRAIG LOWNDES....he was on an absloute flier.
The rain started just as the race finished, so a run of good fortune there!
Much appreciated for the comradership, and even my mates had a blast!

All in all, the cars and setup looked fantastic and cant wait to see some pics posted up. Thanks for a grouse day out...or should I say ORSM!

Yet another fantastic display of what our Club is all about. Great turn out with a huge variety of cars and colours. Our display was good, just a shame that it was so windy as it would have looked great with the marquee up.

I enjoyed myself (even though I was getting a little tired towards the end) and had a blast chit chatting with all you guys.

Matt

PS nearly took me an hour to get out of Sandown.

Was a bloody early start, most of us getting up around 0430hours. Some like Cam, without any real sleep. But despite this all us were eagerly awaiting the gates to be opened at 0700hours. Some orsm initiative from club treasurer Marko ensured we got in at the right moment!!!

Set up the cars in the same spot as last year, not sure on exact number, but was 18 I think. All cars looking brilliant despite crap weather. Some other nice rides near by from the Mustang Club, E Series and Forums. I must also congratulate the enemy, the HSV Owners Club, their display was quite good also.

After a last minute clean of my ride I planted my butt in the grand stand and enjoyed the entertainment. Early highlights were the drift cars, the Castrol Stunt plane and the fly over by the FA-18 Hornet. Then the race and a awesome result. Go FORD!

All in all a great day for Ford and the club. Some new faces and cars in the display. Some more eager Ford enthusiasts. I cannot wait for All Ford Day next year!

Yes well said Jase, a great effort by all the ORSM members that attended to make the effort to make our stand look i think the best there. Very windy day that made it a little uncomfortable but geez yawn boring watching that sort of racing for me. If only the rain came an hour earlier to make it at least interesting.

And a huge thanks to the guys that helped me with the funny car as i can't do it by myself, cheers guys i will shout you a krispy kreme donut each next time.

Cheers Craig

hmm KK's all round. The wife wanted me to get some on the way home, but damn took so long to get out that I was running late for Indoor Footy so couldnt stop past. Might have to buy a 12 pack the day before I book the car in for a service at ACE ;)
