How many of these series II XR8's where 220kw??
I thought only the series III where 220.. Many thanx. |

hey yo_stock,
the auii 220kw xr8's came in about may 2001 i think it was. They're identified by a small 220 badge on the bootlid. I'm sure some of the other guys can give you more info. Julza

Mid June 2001 as I have June built and it is a 200kw
The 220kw can be easily identified with the "tickford" logo embossed on the throttle body which is the 70mm one , all the AU 185 & 200 XR8's had the 65mm TB on them and ofcourse different heads as well on the 220 Some had the 220 badge on the back (Rebel XR8 did) BUT alot did not. I think the AU3 started in Sept 01

Is it at this time where the LSD became optional, or was this introduced only in the series III, Thanx alot for your info guys....
Now i'm just not sure of an XR6 6VCT, or 8 220... I'm thinkin the 220 :-) Love that grumble |
