Default The battle is over but the war is far from won.

Just looking at FF.com and already the censorship and shitfighting has begun.

I doubt it will end anytime soon.

Happy new year to everyone reading this. I'll be behind this site 100%, I just hope the current FF members realise whats going on right in front of them.

Cheers,
Greg

I think soon the sheep will flock with the rest and leave alone the creator to think over what he's done ;) nothing against FF but whether you wish it well or not, I don't think it'll last, unless he changes it to US Ford forums

For me, seeing all the forum admins that I've met, and respect, get booted and replaced with the owners mates from the US is enough for me. Sheep my a$$.

I have little idea what went on - I've haven't been on the forum lately due to internet issues and just being plain busy, but seeing that a few long serving admin guys jumped ship (or were pushed - whatever, I don't know) there must be some serious problems going on. For a while the FF has been dominated by aussies it seems - and to keep up on local news and events, it's logical to back the aussie guys by moving across to here.

I don't see any reason why the two sites can't co-exist. I wasn't personally affected by the recent events so I do wish FF all the best. It does seem logical that the .com.au version came about because the original ff site was clearly dominated by Aussies. Times change, people move on but the community will live on no matter what website we're on. As for lumping all of the US members as yanks/****s I think this is a bit of an unfair generalisation. In the Cleveland forum especially I valued the contributions of a few US based members, most notably Davis.

I actually wasn't referring to you in particular. It just seems to be a general theme across these forums at the moment and probably understandable to an extent due to recent events.

Good call ! This place is not a beat up on FF!
I hope the smoke settles and both survive and prosper, each will have something unique to offer.

All the best to FF and all the very best to AFF in 2005.

Yeah I agree it's a bit unfair that because people are upset with Lunitac they're taking out a bit of frustration on other US members. But don't get me wrong that wasn't my intention and you're right some were really helpful on FF.

I don't really this thread has lead to anything but more conflict between both sites...

It's a damn shame to have left behind nearly a million posts - sure some were full of carp but there was/is a lot of good info there. I don't intend leaving FF behind fully but I also belonged to other forums anyway, I don't see the problem.

Ok, i admit it. Yes i have given LunaticSVT a bit of a serve. Why? Because it's my opinion, not because everyone else is.

Not that that is an excuse for it

I'm gonna stop now. Im gonna put my effort into helping out the team here to get FFAU as good as FF.com was. Yes i know this will sound very hipocritical given my latests posts on FF, but let's leave it, let LunaticSVT deal with things his way.

There is no need to pledge allegiance or burn bridges. Obviously the vast majority of us will be on here more than FF, but that's not to say we won't go abck from time to time. I know I will be.

Again, i apologise for the hipocracy.

I think its fair to say there was plenty of people not happy with the way ff was run long before this thread was started. You don't gain 200+ members overnight for no reason.

Fact is, lunatic is still making snide remarks and doing nothing to bridge the apparent gap between the 2 sites.

I will say the opinions I expressed in this thread are mine and not intended to be the voice of FF.au, but they are my opinions and will remain so.

Its been a wild first day, i'm going to bed!
