Default Stretched XY Ute on Ebay

Not my cup of tea, but can see a lot of work would have been done to get it to this stage.

Bit optimistic with his price considering limited appeal and great deal of work would still be needed to finish off the project.

No mentioning of engineering in the one-line description on Ebay, so then you can assume it hasn't been engineered / inspected at all.

Yeah I’d certainly agree on the limited appeal. I’ve got no idea what he’s done. I can’t look at it for that long. Two pics and a few words makes me think she’d be rough as.

'Great Investment'......
I think it would need great investment to get it on the road.
But would be pretty cool to see once done.

It would need to be done really well to get the blessing of engineers with a stretch like that. Not even sure if it’s doable. I’d say it’s game over unless someone has a use for it on a farm or something.

I hate to see cars get cut up and left. So many cars survive only to get butchered by some bone head and ruined beyond any hope. On the opposite end of the spectrum I saw a FB pic of classics totalled at power cruises, just nuts

The engineering side will be a headache. It will need to pass a beam and torsion test and if it doesn’t pass it will need to be re worked to stiffen/loosen it up. Suspension and possibly brakes will need upgrading to allow for the extra weight
I build hearse’s for a living, have built 16 in the last 5 years. This was not a ex hearse or it would have a roof on it.

May end up like this Nissan Navara if the chassis is not engineered correctly

I've seen a few 'homebuilt' stretches over the years and i think you would have to be very dedicated and knowledgeable to follow through on the idea, and be prepared to jump through a lot of hoops, unfortunately i can't see a rosy future for this one, unless one of those dedicated types picks it up......

This one sold about a year ago engineered with full rego....

That ute reminds me of Lady Penelope's car from the Thunderbirds.
