Red face Has the forum been 'Americanized'?

I know there's quite a few Australians turning to US politics and propaganda lately because they have no life..

..but do we also have to now change the way we spell to US spelling? Noticed recently that the forums spell checker is showing good ol' Australian way of spelling of words as incorrect, with a red underline, and the 'dumb a$$' US spelling as correct.

Is this a forum issue, or an issue with Edge, Chrome or my computer?

AFF not doing spell checking for me via Safari or MS Explorer. I think that issue is your end.

You'll need to change the language settings in the browsers themselves. In chrome it's under settings > advanced > languages - you'll also find the settings for spell check here too.

Bingo. Thanks Moo Man.

For MS Edge - it's hit the three dots top right > Settings > Languages > Preferred languages. If English (Australia) is not an option, click Add language button and then download English (Australia), then click the three dots next to English (Australia) and tick box for Display Microsoft Edge in this language.

Strange as it was fine before. MS must've had an update and decided I should move to the US.

Thank goodness. Thought I was gonna have to turn into a redneck.. and wave the confederate flag while screaming "Four more years!!"

Have you got Grammarly (or something similar) installed?

Also, you have to admit US politics is light years ahead of Oz politics, our current crop of politicians are boring as all hell and our MSM does a great job of covering up their incompetent asses.

The regular use of the following terms;
Barn finds
Class action
Liberals
Bed wetters
Nanny state et al

Are all indicators so I'd say yes it's become, or becoming, Americanised

Yes, I do have the Technical Data Sheets for my computer, but couldn't find the data needed to fix the spelling issue.

To answer the second part of your question, my concern really is about the spelling of English words like the yanks do.

See below for a small sample.

and...

and...

And talking of 'heels', did you know President Trump is a "great" dancer? Check him out, he's got his dancing 'heals' on in that video.

Oh wait... look who his "buddy" is. And... who's that in the background? Think she's been in the news lately??

America truly must be the land of the free. Where even a paedophile can be the President.

It's only a matter of time Trump. Your time will come.

Tick, tock, tick, tock.....

I hope this forum never becomes Americanized because its a great forum the way it is and has some very smart aussie guys on it also.
Sure we can talk about American cars, events but where in the best country in the world I think.

As far as America goes and this is my 2 cents worth "if you have the money just goes to show that any half wit can become president".

I love TDS. If you think he is a flog, you're deranged supposedly because of MSM. I hear plenty enough out of his own mouth to know he is one.

The Trumpy fans are free to fly over there to line up to blow him anytime you like to
