Default Owned by a V12 Vanquish

Some quotes from a Auckland Police Inspector after a patrol tried to apprehend a Aston Martin Vanquish stolen during a burglary & spotted speeding at 4am.

Quote:
The vehicle drove on to the motorway and headed south towards the Harbour Bridge. To the surprise of the officers it accelerated away from them like they were standing still and was last seen disappearing into the distant lights of Auckland city," he said. The patrol car reached 120kmh and the officers clocked the Aston Martin at 180kmh before it was lost from sight, although not before the registration number was noted and the car found to be stolen.
Quote:
The police acknowledge that these vehicles, with their 512 horsepower engine, are a little faster than your average Holden Commodore," said Mr Paterson.

I wonder how long the patrol car took to reach 120kph???

What's the recorded 1/4 mile time for the Vanquish?

The vanquish's 1/4 times arent great as the automatic clutch cant handle the gear changes in such conditions.

Thats why I'd take the DB9 over the Vanquish cause even tho both have paddle-shift for gear changes, the DB9 can be a REAL automatic gearbox, whereas the vanquish can only be in manual form. And when both are paddle shifted, might as well go with the one that doesnt burn your clutch out.

I've downloaded a few vids of both the vanquish and DB9 and you should here them double clutch and blip the accel automatically on down changes..its awesome!

Well, if you steal one and use it as a get away car for a bank job you might get plenty of that for the next 10-15 years. :ymca:

I'd rather just hire one for the day

My kind of car. Bloody sexy with the grunt under the bonnet to match. Also underneath the Ford banner. What more could you want really!

it would want to be better than any Aussie car at it's price.

Try the service costs.....#1500-$2500 per go.

If you can afford to buy it, servicing would be a breeze

thats exactly right...people always say stuff like that "imagine the insurance on a ferrari..imagine the repair cost for a ferrari...."

if you can buy the car its more than likely you can afford the stuff that comes with it, or u wouldnt buy it.

i could have afforded an EL XR6, but not the insurance :(

Typical holden driver response isn't it?

Most of the Fooly Siik (tm) VL drivers I know would make a comment similar to those cops...

"Must a been turbo'd or somethin bro" :yeees:

their body language just summed it up

"pfft....your VN would beat that man"
