Default Parrot MKi9200 BA

Hi Guys,
My partner got me a Parrot MKi9200 for Christmas along with the ISO2car (86120) cable to suit my 03 BA XR, what she did not realise until I opened everything is that the ISO2car documentation had in small print that it will not suit some vehicles with amplified systems, and as my BA has premium sound it is amplified....

Before I even think about installing the Parrot, I thought it better to check with you guys if this ISO2car cable will work with the BA premium sound...or will I need a different ISO cable, or will it need to be direct wired in? Wy couldnt you guys have a shop up my way lol

Any assistance greatly appreciated....cheers

Hi. The parrot hands free kit works well with the BA/BF falcons. The power earth and mute wires all connect to a four pin plug behind the fuse box. Use either the grey grey/black OR the white white/black speaker output wires to the 2 pin plug also behind the fuse box. For music streaming use the white (l) and red (r) line out wires to the aux in plug behind the fuse box. Red to orange, white to white and the black and brown wires join together and then connect to tha last 3 wires in the aux plug. you then turn OFF mute when streaming in the parrot and switch on aux in by pushing AM twice on the radio. Cheers MD

Cheers Michael, so I am guessing that means the ISO plug is no good to use then.....?

Hi. Seeing there is no iso plug on the falcon there is not a lot of need for one but if it is a small adaptor harness it may be preferable to cut it up to make it fit the ford than the harness supplied with the parrot. Cheers MD

the iso2car harness should work and clip straight in to the plugs under the dash

Hi. the BA/BF uses a plug mounted to the dash which the icc locks into. this plug is fixed in its location and the layout in nothing like an iso plug. See here for the BA/BF plug http://www.fordforums.com.au/vbporta...?articleid=571 .
See here for iso plug and socket http://www.google.com.au/imgres?star...37&tx=53&ty=70 .
See here for BA/BF phone plugs http://www.fordforums.com.au/vbporta...?articleid=566 .
iso2car cables are used between car radio and factory wiring to enable the connection of iso completable hands free kits. As yet no one does an iso2car for the BA/BF because it doesnt need one.
see here. http://www.strike.com.au/products/KRAM-Cables . Cheers MD

Thanks Michael, that made it very clear lol...
the only confusion now is slight differences;

I have 2 line outs Right (blue+ and green-) and Left (white+ and brown-) to which I would say blue to orange and white to white, join green and brown together and then join them to the last 3 wires in the aux plug, is that correct....?

Hi. Trust parrot to change something, If they have changed that, then check first that you can still turn off mute when streaming in the parrot menu and if yes then go with what you said. I know that they changed the 9000 about 18 months ago and removed the disable mute when streaming function but it was going to continue on the 9100. If you cant turn off the mute then you wont need to hook up these wires but streaming will only be in mono. Cheers MD

Hey Fadi,

Do you guys still have the BA/Territory plug and play cables at that price? Or is it cheaper for members?

Cool Re: Parrot MKi9200 BA

I would honestly recommend not bothering and just get the adapter you're going to save yourself a major headache and it's worth shelling out the $75 just for that.
Buy yourself an early Christmas present 🎁

No thanks..i'd rather spend a few hours wiring it up than spend $80 on something that probably cost's them $10 - $20 to make besides that i just don't have the money to buy one.

You don't need the wiring diagram you need the pinout to know what the colours are.
