Exclamation EA2BA - Should I build another

Those who know the below and it was sad it got written off after I sold it.
I am thinking of buying another EA and make an EA2BA again.

If you can find a pensioner owned always garaged base car to work with, that would be ideal. Tall order though.
Remember reading your thread in Fordmods, the thing that always impressed me was the 'don't tell me it can't be done' attitude, e.g. the BA shifter, flip keyfob, etc.
For you I'm not sure if this project will be challenging enough for you, since you've done it all before.

I do agree been there done that with the EA.

I guess while I achieved a lot I feel I didn't quiet finish to a level I really wanted.

If not an EA other suggestions ?

Probably an EF or EL, since they have many improvements already in place, suspension, interior, etc.
Maybe go a DOHC engine, AUII brakes, etc.

I'm running an EF ignition system in my XH nowadays - mainly for troubleshooting, ease of repair - the car is aging, and I know that hall effect will fail one day.

Well everything will be upgraded/swapped anyway.
New lowered springs and shocks, Dba slotted rotors
Full interior trim with different interior handles etc
Was running an EL ecu anyways in the EA

Maybe I should out EA GHiA into EL Gli for the digital cluster there's a challenge.

Gut the EA, install the full interior and electrics out of a BA Falcon. Turbo motor. That would be a worthy successor to the original EA2BA

I reckon I can manage BA turbo motor, gearbox, etc with EA Ghia dash and EL interior with some BA interior handles and a decent stereo system

All the more need for twin piston front calipers - quite doable nowadays on the E series uprights.

EA Fairmont Ghia in a maroon/red colour has been bought.

It drives very well just needs a lot of TLC.
Fix a few things to get a road worthy and rego.

Then the real work on mods starts.
