Default Shannons - End of an Era

I just binge watched "Shannons - End of an Era" on youtube

Its brilliant really worth watching
4 x 45 minute episodes about the rise glory and demise of Aust auto manufacturing.

maybe just watch the first 3 eps
The last episode is a bit of a horror movie and left me with a lump in my throat and tears running down my cheeks.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.
