Default Ford Fiesta 2009 WS Zetec vs 2010 WT LX (Manual)

Hi All

I am new to the forum, and only know about this forum last night when I was reading on a Fiesta post on whirlpool. So here I am

I am hoping to get some opinions on a couple of cars I am interested in. Both are right on $5k. I know the WS model are made in Germany, and WT model are Thai made.

I have read that the WT model supposedly have better noise deadening with one review citing the below. Is the noise on the WS really that bad???
Against the outgoing WS, the WT is up to 40 per cent better for wind noise, up to one decibel quieter for road NVH, and – overall – measurably improved.

Mileage on the 2009 WS Zetec is slightly higher at 132xxxkm. 2010 WT LX is 107xxxkm.

Which is the better car to buy since they are priced identically at two different dealers?

TIA!

Would probably lean towards the WT.

The Air con is supposedly a bit better for our conditions for 1. I found the road noise in my WT to be pretty decent (but this does heavily depend on tyre). i am sure others will have a bit more opinion.

I'd drive both, see what you prefer but i do not think there is a major lose either way you go.

Thanks. Went to see the 2010 WT LX today. Looks like the car has been at the yard for a good few weeks. Slight paint fading on the roof. Rainbow effect on the window/windscreen etc. There is also four "holes" on the roof where the roof racks were previously installed and have now been removed. Seems nice to drive even though we were only doing 60kph on local roads for 5-10 minutes. Would have loved to take it onto the highway to see how it feels at 80-100kph. Wife also said the interior looks "greasy", and she insists her description of greasy is accurate when I asked if she meant "dusty"??? So no deal.

It’s probably been lathered with armoral. The grease will wear away.

Keep looking and insist on a decent drive.
