Just bought a 2004 Fiesta for the wife. Can anyone tell me if the Tie rods are easy to get off without the special tool to undo the steering rack nut?

undo the tie rod nut to the top of its thread
you use a big hammer and hit the thick metal part of the stub hard... once or twice should do it and the taper of the tie rod will pop loose
