Looks and appearance? Choose what YOU like better. Why do you want to know, or care, what others think?

By the way, my choice would be XY.

XYs has been done to death, VLs are the new XY.

Decent Cortinas are alot less common.

I prefer the TE over the TD.
Or a nice Lotus Cortina.

I actually prefer the TC Cortina ........ Not sure if there are any good ones around these days though ...... Yes I am bias as I had one .....

Mmmmmmmmm 4.1lt goodness all in a small car .... many a fun day had in that baby ;)

Your choice would depend on what your plans are ....... personal choice will play a big part in this & you will find there is going to be a variance in what everyone tells you as well ....... depends on their age & experiences .....

XY, because I want one. Or XW, XT etc. Have been done, but look tuff, big and comfy. Prices are going up, so its hard to loose anyway.

XY for nostalgia. TD for lightweight drag racing.

Yeh i know what your saying, i was just showing the difference in the TD-XY
weight. I thought the cortina & capri were alot closer than that, suprising.

when i started the cortina i thought it would be the same as a Capri but when we weighed it i almost died.. oh and my last post was not directed at you trik67.. it was for blue oval said the cortina is surely lighter than the xy i was just pointing out that i wrote 3200 and you wrote 3550..
