Default Mk1 capri boot release

Can someone tell me if the mk1 capri is supposed to have a boot release mechanism inside the car? Mine is a rebuild so I don't know.

Thanks!

If they did, it was most likely the cable pull type that Ford fitted as an option through the 70's and early 80's.

Ok cool. I wonder what it would take to fit one.....

If it wouldn't be hard to fit one id like to shave the lock.
