Default LR Focus 2.0 starter relay

Hi all, i cant find my starter relay on my 2004 LR focus LX model.
I looked at the workshop manual here on the forums but the manual doesn't match what's in my car or what's in my owners handbook.
The workshop manual says K22 in the CJB is the starter relay, owners manual says its an Ignition relay. K22 on my car is definitely an ignition relay, ie. it clicks as the ignition is turned on and off and not when the starter is engaged.
The w/s manual also says that Fuse 8 is the starting system. The owners book says this is an ignition fuse.
I cant feel any relays click when the starter is engaged.
I am chasing an intermittent no crank. Ive tried all the "fixes" here on the forum and also any that google search has returned.
I have noticed over the past couple of days is that when i slam the passenger door, while the key is in the start position, the starter will engage.

Any clues please.....

The 'solenoid' on the starter that pushes the cog out when the starter engages also is the 'relay' that connects the battery cable to the starter motor.

Some cars have the key 'start' wire directly to the starter, but most modern cars have a 30-amp relay in the fuse box to provide prevent start permissives, and to protect the ignition switch.

The easiest you can do is to measure with a multimeter at the small wire that goes to the starter, if it has 12V when activating the key. Then you can trace that wire back to the fuse box. (Most likely the fuse box in the engine bay).

Cheers,
