Ah yes but we streeters are smart. 3g did indeed fail over. There was a rum overload on the UHF and the frequencies crossed over. None the less the falback was onto nextg and the streeters were back stronger then ever before.

South penruff was indeed interesting times through work place awards, work cover and construction unions the street uters never really showed up to show the BNS how to work and think sober. Instead out fake counterparts with their Chev badged N/A 6, intercooler and bov'd n/a badged turbo ute leant the hand and pioneered the ground work for the mother of al showdowns.

The cloak and dagger nature of the false representation was too much for the RBBD to handle. The concpets of chrome wheels that were clean, top gun sun glassed and rambo outfits that were never seen before. The sheer brutal imagery was too much for the RBBD and they left in a flurry back to home. The total lack of respect led and hastily departure caused massive issues on the construction sites. The amount of dust from the deperture lead to work cover claims and people were taken to hospital sick with dust innalation. This is why the issues of south penruff remain today.
The immation street uters fled home with overwhelming success and the real ones remain untouched, living to fight another day.

Hangon Boys... are we goin for a nice cruise or a Rum Pig Smash and Bash... Just remember we drive BA's Not EA's. Some of us here arent drinkers so if its going to end up as a massive drinking fest I wont be in attendance and that would be a bit crap...

Cheers Dan

Shytefest aside for a few mins...

Dan - I agree which is why the remarks about being tanked and sleeping in tents / cars have some concern. Yes we drive B's and I really think we can do a lot better than tents and rum cans.

I am much like yourself, I don't drink either and don't condone a weekend up. There are many a good times to be had where alcohol isn't needed. We had a cruise today that was absolutely awesome....
Whilst people will enjoy a drink and may indeed want to get "tipsy", that's their choice and good on them, but I am not keen on having that be the ethos for the weekend.

Cheers

Ben

So Bogan bashing aside... there's some good scenery out here...
Canberra is pretty good place to go to, but then the guys from Brisbane and Adelaide have another 300kms on top of their trip to get there...

We need to settle on a location before we open an "Official" thread with event details...

I'm still offering up Parkes... and if agreed I can do planning (display location events etc...) if its anywhere else I'm going to need assistance...
Plus Parkes is a good family location too...

Parkes is slowly becoming the B-Series Capital, there's a few of you up there driving B-series around then jumping on here to talk about it.
I'll put my vote in for Parkes too. Long as we get to go see The Dish
We need a name... Bseriesnats??

I can't say I've been to Parkes (and not to discredit it) but what places in that sort of area have the better accomodation? We're going to need a bit of it and for some of these cars I don't think that "Oh you can park you're car in the street or in the carpark across the road" is going to do. As there are a fair few places that have restrictions on these types of things we will need to look into it.

This is a great idea, needs lots of planning though.
Parkes sounds good as long as there is enough accommodation, hotels and camping facilities. How big is your backyard and have you got any spare rooms Daniel?

Well Parkes has plenty of accommodation, we swell every year to almost double its size every 2nd weekend of January for the "Annual Elvis Festival", its not that cool and i'm only using it as an example. Parkes is really good for passers through and for things such as that. The streets are fine to park on but all of the motels have enclosed parking...
yes I have spare rooms and by then I might have both fully furnished with renovations occuring hopefully in february...

Depending on numbers of interested parties (apparently there are 450 members on Bseries.com.au now), the venue can be rearranged. the Rugby union football oval gets used by the local car club for its show and shine and looks pretty good, if its really small the Woolworths or Big W car park is good as well (woolies is probably not a viable options though...) if its on a sunday theres definitely the Netball fields/cricket oval (next to the skate park, reminiscent of Wagga wagga) or the Hockey fields which are on the Highway and would attract alot of attention...

as I said, all we have to do is settle and Parkes is your place or we could host elsewhere... I think it'd be really awesome though to do it in Parkes... it doesn't have unsavoury people and the local scenery is pretty good...

I'm happy to keep pleading its case, but Parkes is the "Hub of the Nation". you can get to 80% of Australia's population by road or rail from Parkes in 12hrs or so...

cheers

Guys.... Ideas....

Queens birthday long weekend in June (Monday the 9th) have the show on the Sunday. Its a big weekend in Parkes too that weekend as the Parkes Picnic races are on onthat Saturday (those that would like a good ol' drinking party before the show and shine)

March Weekend before easter? Saturday 14th of March?

Anzac Weekend Friday the 25th April?

lets get this Ball rolling , if you want it this early, we need to set a date...

How about May 17th and 18th? not a long weekend and should be plenty of time to organise...?

Parkes is a great place, I have being there before.

Daniel, is there a hotel with a good secure carpark? Ie something off the road and not entirely visible form the street?

Being out of season and off peak hopefully they will give us a group booking?
Can you assist here?
Also people should be able to bring families to we need the hotel. It's a great atmosphere where you can sit down somewhere and have a laugh..

Let's start here and then we can work the rest in.

Awesome...
I'll start the bookings and group bookings organised... I can get brochures etc...
Plenty of the Motels/hotels in Parkes have off street/non visible parking...

We'll organise a couple of things like a dinner on the saturday night before the show and shine... and I'll start posting up pics of possible locations here so that we can make a choice...

this should be awesome... the LARGEST collection of B series in one place... (and other's who want to attend...)

Good luck with this lads, it sounds like a fantastic idea and I wish you all the best. Unfortunatly, I doubt I can attend as I'm taking a hiatus from the merry land of Aus for a bit to take in the sceanary of sunny Afganistan, but I wish I could attend.

Parkes is pretty central and it gives everyone a bit of an oppitunity to look around the part of the country, as well as a major boost for the local community, so get them onside and involved and you can almost garentee a good result.

Cheers

Matt
