Have started to see the NSW HWP FGX's around. Gotta say, they look pretty damned good!

Spotted a White FGX Ute - it has the twin day light headlights but doesn't look like it has a Bonnet Bulge - is this an XR6?

Looks AWESOME

I thought it was optional to have the DRL's on permanently (with engine running), i think they turn on with the parkers as standard...but they do look mean when turned on

If you turn your lights off (switch in the off position) they should be off. But if its in auto mode then they will stay on IIRC.

Aero blue looks bad!! Not a fan especially on an XR.

As for DRL's they stay on all the time and dim as soon as you put the headlights or parkers on.

I keep seeing more on the roads from west side of Melbourne headed into the city. A gold XR6 (n/a) was behind me on the WRR, and overtook my Chrysler (ok, I let it). Man those indicators in the rear are bright.

Followed a G6E Turbo into the city after that.

Saw two G6E's in Box Hill yesterday too.

I am a courier so I guess I've a better chance at seeing them, but they do stand out.

The XR type DRL's certainly make the FG X XR more obvious on the road. Saw one this afternoon coming the other way in the traffic, I wouldn't have had a second glance at it if it wasn't for the mean looking DRL's.

Aren't the dimmed DRLs the front parkers; there are no separate normal front parking lights?

spotted my second third FGX 'in the wild' today

EcoLpi Falcon - smoke

I spotted a kinetic one briefly last weekend too (an XR of some kind) as it was driving past in the opposite direction.

The one I saw today was on the freeway in peak hour, so got to have a good perve on it

Maybe one day I'll retrofit the FGX gear on....the mrs wasn't too pleased saying "why do you want it to look like a jag" :P

very jealous of all the FGX XR8 owners around!

I have a couple of questions on my build details for my FGX-XR8
Is this an option that can be added in future?-
  • Less Interior Noise Insulation Pack
How is this rear view activated ?

  • With Dipping Rear View Mirror
Whats activates the following

  • Lane Keeping Aid
Whats the meaning of ?

  • Ice Feature Pack 6

There aren't really any options on the XR8, where did you get this info from? The dipping mirrors may be in the G6E, but I don't think any of them have a 'lane keeping' system. Never heard of the Noise Insulation Pack. I read over the specs online and in the brochure dozens of times waiting for mine to turn up, and most everything is listed as Standard.

Pretty sure the auto dip passenger's mirror is standard on XR8 when reverse is selected, but yeah, the other stuff I haven't heard of.

Aero blue looks better than what I expected. However wish they did more brighter colors that stand out like Dash Green.

Safe colour but doesn't do it for me sorry. Agree on getting some brighter colours in. Personally just give me my red before I have to lock my colour in and I will be happy.

Don't think much of the aero blue, what's with Ford and other manufactures these days, all bland dull colours here in Australia Where's all the bright colours we used to have back in the BA BF early FG days . I have also chose Victory Gold for my new Xr8 due in June as it was the brightest colour to pick from a rather dull selection of Colours, at least the Mustang has some descent colours to pick from.

Have had my gold xr8 for month now, looks great & so far only gold xr8 i have seen on brisbane roads. Done almost 1500ks now.

Like the pics of the aero blue will look nice with the 19s & tint windows.

Has anyone else in Bris picked up their xr8 yet ?
