Ok...been looking around and come across a car for sale but have never heard of the damn thing. It's a 1990 Fairlane NA (didn't even know they made an NA model). Paint is the old blue/grey, interior is all velour, electric dash and cruise control....now......has anyone ever heard of this model? If so....can ya give me a heads up on what they're like?

The NA Fairlane is based on the EA Falcon. Being a 1990 model, it should be like the EAII which got the 4spd auto and was a big improvement on the 88' models. If looked after, they can be a great car. They can blow headgaskets occasionally, and check that all the power windows work smoothly. Overall, if it runs well and everything works, I'd buy it. It's basically a Longer Fairmont. Not a bad buy as long as it has been looked after and has low klms. Have you had a look through the For Sale section here??

I've had 2 of them.. I love them.. so big and cruisey
 Definite problems to look out for are the power windows, they have a habit of jamming and being really really slow to go up.. Make sure the digital dash, all the characters etc are lit up. I was missing a few pieces of numbers on one of them, made it hard to tell if it was 8 or 0, 1 or 7, etc :P Apart from that they're very reliable cars i've found.. I drove mine HEAPS and had no major problems with either. |

Oh yeah if your worried about looks, drop it on is guts and 17" , and perhaps respray to black, and you have the ultimate cruiser/mafia car
I wouldnt go anything bigger than 17s, as bigger will make it look like a 4wd, the cars have a nice look to it with a sleek look. |

If you can try to get an NC2 Fairlane. Specs are pretty much the same on paper, but they are a much better car. Interior is a million miles ahead.
17"? 17" is not pimp spec! Mine's getting 18" MINIMUM. |

14" 120 spoke Dayton's are pimp spec, 18" ROH wheels are rice spec :P

There are a few women on here, and some know more than some of the guys (not me though, I'm still learning).
