Default kb laser

I have a kb laser and I need to change the gear oil but having trouble with getting the oil in the hole where the speedo cable is.The car manual says to do it that way but the cable comes out without a gear drive attatched so the holes not big enough.Hope somebody has done this before and can help me out.

Remove the 10mm bolt from the speedo drive in the gearbox (the part left behind after you have removed the cable) and then remove the drive assembly. You will have to spin it back and forth as you lift to remove it.
