Default Going back to where it all began.......

It looks like I might be joining the AU clan again, I am letting the FG go because I'm a) bored with it and b) being told to by the other half so we pay off the house quicker :, and the replacement will likely be another AU XR8 ute.

I have one in mind and pending a phonecall from the owner tonight I am in need of someone who is a bit closer to it than me having a look at it, is there anybody in Adelaide who could do this for me? The car is in Mawson Lakes if that helps.

i too like the au's (should do i have two xr8's one ute one sedan) but remember that they are starting to get to the stage that you start spending money on them, and before long you might not save that much money at all.

Well, maybe not back to where it all began. You should be buying a Futura if was right back! AUs are still a good, solid, dependable car, and models with IRS are probably better than the B series anyway (FG's just b series on 'roids). Even the good old live axle models are still good for a laugh too.

Im fairly close to Mawson Lakes, I might not be the best person to check over a car but im more then happy to. If you gave me a list of things to look at I can do that and even take more pics of you want.

You're right, it did suit me perfectly but the problem that I faced was that too many people confused me for you when I drove it - small and weedy and suffering badly from 'angry little man' syndrome. Hence I sold it.

The adelaide vehicle looks like it is sold so I am back to the drawing board but we will see how things turn out.

Im in Gepps Cross and can have a very detailed look at it if the owner allows. If your in need of more peace of mind I could get it taken to my uncles dyno centre for a small fee and given one better than any RAA/MTA inspection.

Ive been looking at AUs for the last few weeks for us as well.

few too many kms there and an early boss scares me unless i can find one with a full history and a decent owner. I was looking at one over there that was an AU3 and had 41,000 on it - yes, 41,00kms only.

The black one had its time, I dont regret selling it BUT i would buy it back if I could.

An EL GT, T series of some sort or another V8 ute are on the shortlist.

You getting rid of the T?

XR5's a nice. MPS is quicker. But the XR5 is discontinued, so it will be a litle more unique.
