HI Guys getting Ready to fire my RS for the first time
Where should the temp gauge run?, and same for the Oil pressure gauge

Hi Muzzy, I wouldnt put a lot of faith in the gauges at all. Both of these dont work in my car and I have installed VDO gauges instead in the ashtray slot. Also, my fuel gauge goes up and down by 1/4 tank depending if I am accelerating or braking. Sometimes it just stops. Temp in mine is about 80 degrees IIRC and oil is about 55psi.

Temperature Gauge tends to run high and oil line usually always leaks (into the dash) this is all too common with RS2000 dashes. Probably why they tend to sell high on eBay. Took 3 dashes to get mine right when I bought my car and ripped out all the aftermarket crap.
I guess it's par for course with RS2000 owner ship....don't expect the gauges to work!!!! Just know your car, check it regularly and trust your instincts when it doesn't seem to be running right. |

I started the engine for about 5 mins before I stripped it down, early last year, what I was wanting to know where should the gauge run IE 1/2 way for temp and 3/4 for oil??
I have recalabrated the fuel sender unit so that should be correct, the tacho has been aslo recalabrated ( long way out from the factory)

Engine runs sweet( very deep sound with twin IDF's)
I have set the fans to turn on at the upper white line ( this is 90 degrees) therefore running temp is about 1/2 way beteen 2 white lines
