Not that I am aware of as I am sure they were standard production on FPV lines at least.

Have you checked the workshop manual along with the FPV supplement?

You might have to compare to another car or ask someone who has had it apart.

I believe the quickest way to physically tell the difference between the 2 is the size of the nut and pipes coming from the M/C.

For a TC only M/C the front circuit nut is a M10 thread and the pipe is about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the rear circuit. I've never measured it, but the size difference is noticeable.

For a DSC M/C both nuts are a M12 thread and the pipes are the same size.

yeah, its a bit strange, i pulled up my carpet that had fpv mats and there is nothing under there.
Just the retainers on top with broken off threads.

thanks for that information mate,
when i turn traction control off it says DSC off on the cluster,
now I've measured what i can and it seems both hoses are 12mm threads that take a 13mm spanner, so the local ford selling me a BG2140F is the wrong part to have spare.

Hi mate,

Do you mean part number?

So the coil on plug originally had part number BG12A366A, how ever this has now superseded to part number 8R2Z12A366BA.

Hope that helps..

Would anyone happen to know where I could obtain a suitable new purge solenoid for an AU6? Genuine or not doesn't matter. Every place i've either rang or website i've looked in doesn't seem to stock them anymore.

Hi GT,

Can you advise the difference between the 2 listings here
Both say to suit SZ Territory
https://www.fordforums.com.au/showpo...49&postcount=6

Could you also let me know genuine part no's for front and rear discs for 2012 sz rwd diesel territory.

Just so I know what's being sold as genuine, is actually genuine.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,

So the listing that shows part number 3R7Z2C026A and $90 is a second tier genuine rotor like Motorcraft or the alike made for Ford, an alternate to the OEM style rotor still sort of considered genuine aftermarket.

The second listing part number SX2C026A and $150 is the OEM genuine part. If I am correct the genuine ones were made by Ford at the Geeloing casting plant and what is fitted on the vehicles at the factory.

Just so you know the rear rotors on a SZ territory are the same as High Series Brake Falcons.

Part numbers below and prices I can get if you need help (plus postage).

Front:

OEM BAF1125A $220 each

Motorcraft or the alike alternate: 5R2Z1125A $85 each
Rear:

OEM: SX2C026A $150 each

Motorcarft or the alike genuine alternate: 3R7Z2C026A $80 each.

Thanks for the quick response.

Are motorcraft branded parts made by a local supplier?

Jefferson Ford pricing on the fronts is a little sharper than yours, however they won't combine orders to save postage so I'll be up for 2 x postage.

Can you give me a price on 2 front and 2 rear motorcraft rotors posted to Woodcroft sa 5162 please. PM if you prefer.

Thanks.

Hey mate,

So bit hard to combine, reason being is the weight. Each rotor is approx 10kg and max Aus Post take is 22Kgs so you can only send two rotors at a time.

Aust Post quoted $55 each pair (20kgs) so would come to $110 for all 4.

I also checked with courier and they wanted $158 to send but you would need to pick up from depot in Lonsdale.

Maybe Jefferesons is still your best option, but happy to help if need be.

I would be checking that postage from them as it seems to cheap for the weight.

No the Motorcraft rotors are not made local, they are made in China, such the price difference.

Choice is yours..

Thanks. I'll keep researching my options. I have a thread in the territory section (SZ) on rotors.

I wasn't aware oem and motorcraft were different. Obviously they can still be sold as genuine parts. Does this mean they meet fords criteria and should still be fine?

I've bought motorcraft products for most maintenance items believing I was replacing with what the car came with from factory.

I think it's still superior to non genuine.

Ford as many OEM parts have a stricter quality standard basically for the production line, Ford service parts quality is just that little bit less and offer a good quality cheaper alternative.

For me personally I always prefer the original OEM genuine, followed by Motorcraft followed by general aftermarket. In some instances, there is no OEM choice and Motorcraft is the only option. When they run out, you have to go with quality aftermarket.

Let me know if you need assistance.

I reckon my dealer tries to sell motorcraft stuff at oem pricing. Luckily they also price match and bayford and Jefferson sell heavily online so there's generally always a cheaper price I can show them.

I might try them for the rotors.

Thanks for your help.

Is the a complete suspension bushing kit available for the front, and for the rear of a 2012 AWD Diesel Territory?

I've looked on Ebay and only found 'performance' sets.

Hi GT.
Do you know where I can get a LH front pull handle for a BA Falcon (2004)? Have replaced the drivers one with an aftermarket but cannot find a passenger front one. Tried wreckers and have had no luck.

Hi mate,

Ford have never made a suspension kit for Territory (be it front or rear). You need to buy them individually. If you want to make a list, I can advise how much each of them are.

Hi mate,

Ford never made the door trim pull handles separate, they were part of the door trim.

Long gone from Ford unfortunately.

If you have a look on the Protex catalogue it's lists that the BA, BF and very early FG shared the same physical M/C..But for use in the FG you need to swap over the warning switch..

Seems B-series has a 2 pin switch and FG use a 3 pin.
