picked up a focus zetec, today. 3d hatch with all the goddies. 1 year rego and rdw, 30,000km, imc condition for $13,000, thats a bragin.
best thing about the car is the 5-speed manual. ive done 140km in it allredy im loving it what can i say |

hey 4dlvr i aldo just bought a 3door Zetec LR. they are great cars. so nice to drive and alot of umph for what they have. im sure youll be happy to know that there are many tuning possibilities available for the car!

he makes 88.3kw atw i think it was. just a couple more .0 KW than a stock XR4.

Correct.
Not sure what a stock LR is at the wheels. Stock fly is 96kW. Stock XR4 fly is 110kW. Beat a new XR4 by only 0.7 fwkW at AFF dyno day. Objective is to break 96kW at the wheels

thanks guys, yeh im from good old tullamarine, gladstone park to be more exact...
there are a few things to get used to in the car but other then that its a beautiful car.. i do have a couple questions though, 1)my rear wiper wont stop wiping, how the hell do you switch it off??? 2)the car came with factory alarm but the speaker dosent seem to be working, does anyone know where its located??? 3)and i just realised that the numbers buttons clippy thing on the cd player comes off, whats the point of this??? lol thanks guys |

1) Push the wipder control stick towards the dash, that will turn it off.
2) Somewhere in the car ;) 3) Its so people cant steal the radio and use it, like a detachable face with other stereo's Chris

ok next set of questions lol 1) i need a new air intake, the standerd one is so small any good aftermarket ones??? 2) whats the rev limiter at??? its got no redline which ****es me off 3)how much fuel should i get off a tank??? i filled a full tank half way down ive only got 200km does this sound average??? thanks again |

1) some people seem to like the ST snorkel...
2) I know mines about 6250, not sure if its the same on the non ST ones 3) i get about 450-500kms out of a tank, so id say about that if not more

do the zetecs have a dte or any sort of trip computer??? and my car is always on the cool side of tempreature and never exactly in the middle, are they all like that or does mine need a new thermostat???

DTE or trip computer only comes in a Focus Ghia, Photn was lucky to get one off a wrecked Ghia. My Focus sits at halfway if it is cooler thats a bonus for you I think.

yer, well i bought the car with it, but the owner put one in before he gave it to me, and a 6 stacker as well... im just missing 2 small sensors and an alarm then its sweet.
4dlvr, does yours have ESP?

if i new what esp did ild give you an answer.
also last question lol. when switching the lights on, i discoverd that if you pull the button out that turns the fog lamps on, but you can pull it out 2 times, hard to descreibe but lts like 2 steps. what does the secongd pull do??? |

Put the rear fog lamp on..Dude read the instruction manual....gives you so much information. ESP or otherwise know as Stability Control

i didnt get the instructions manual for it, all i got was a bunch of reciepts from the machanics shed taken the car to. thats why im so clueles abot thre car
