Prices for 91 have jumped up to 199.9cpl down this way over the last couple of days. Any coincidence that there was a heck load of and on the road early this morning as I made my way into work (against the flow of the holiday-makers)?

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Ford's "lockable" fuel cap as used on cab chassis Rangers only keeps the honest criminals out. One of their locked caps can be removed in seconds with no tools.

All those quoted above that were 199.9 are now at 201.9. Amazing how quickly the prices are changing.

E: and warragul is now at 221.9cpl.

Fuel in Traralgon jumped overnight then jumped again between 9am & 10:30am, I cringed buying 98 for $2.10/L only yesterday, today that would have been the cheapest premium in town.

Crims in the usa are resorting to drilling holes in fuel tanks of suv’s and pickups, so they have plenty of room to get under and they have huge fuel tanks.

There is always someone worse off, even in the USA where the wages are a lot less. California are paying around A$2.07 ltr for unleaded and A$2.27 ltr for diesel.

Prices hasn't seemed to deter motorists for the moment. Driving down and back from the peninsula this afternoon, the roads were chockers. Everywhere is now $2.xx for ULP, except highway stop BPs which are still $1.9x.

It feels like petrol companies are trying to gauge at what price motorists will be willing to accept, so we might see numbers fluctuate a bit regardless of price per barrel.

Had to drive down to Brisbane yesterday and was very surprised at just how much traffic there was. I thought it would be an easy drive but no, lots and lots of traffic.

Fuel (petrol and diesel) was around the $2.22 mark everywhere.

My local servo west of Brisbane is $$2.21 for 91 and $2.43 for 98
So 60litres of 98 in anything that needs it is now $145.80.

Historically it's always ****ed me off that things like fuel go up based on speculation and concern that something might happen etc.

Will someone blow up that pipeline in the near future? Let's raise prices, and do it now on our current inventory.

How about we actually respond to an actual real issue?

As people mentioned, going up is easy, back down not so much.
