I like the looks of Opto's intake, would it make any performance differences over the stock intake??

thats why i have that pipe runing from underneath the guard, instead of the pod getting hot air off the engine it gets colder air from the road. on the week end i will be moving the actual pod to behind the front bar for better intake also. i just need to make a splash guard so it does get water from the wheels when its raining, i assume water sucked in with auir would be no good :P

Default intake

well this is my intake at the moment i have changed it around so many time i i have found this the best by far, it is just a mild steel 3" intake pipe that drops down into the gard infront of the wheel and points forwards where the k'n pod sits and sucks in nice cold air with some savage induction noises.

Here is my current air mod => 3" mild steel, AU TE50 snorkel (opened up a tad more with a heat gun), rubber restrictor inside air-box cleanly cut off, K&N panel filter, 2x meshed off 90mm holes in the air-box. Next air-mod to come - a 90mm hole through the bottom of the box and a pipe leading to the back of the air duct in the bumper.

It would Act like a big scoop but i don't drive it in the wet. So water / puddles don't effect me.

Dry Weather, weekend car, ever since the car accident, driving in wet weather is a no go.

Usually an exhaust shop is your best bet as they are experts with bending pipes & can supply & bend the 3" pipe for you
