Why did Putin suddenly wake up on Feb 2014 and decided to take and annex Crimea? What happened a few months before that?

Irrelevant, you asked when and Feb 2014 is the widely accepted date, you may not agree with it but that's between you and Putin, you could probably trace it back to pre 1917 if you were desperate enough....

1000’s of Young Russian men are escaping the Kleptocracy so they don’t die in a Ukrainian ditch (for Putler). The sad thing is they’ll be deported ( by the country they’ve escaped to) and sent back to “Ruzzia”
