ive been told that kings lows are the same height as the xr springs. so it will be the same. maybe try superlows in the rear, but not sure if that will sit level or front higher than back etc. but will lower it

What he said.. SLs will drop the rear about 45 to 55 mm and the front about 25mm

when i had my AU2 XR8 i had standard XR springs in it all around, but when i put my new front shocks, Monroe GT sport's they were a shorter shock and i noticed immediately when i went to pick it up that the front sat around 15mm lower, so perhaps you could try putting a pair of them shocks in the rear to make the rear sit level with the front and yet still maintaining the standard springs? Just a thought.

i changed mine over to king spring superlows, didnt really notice much of a change in ride height. but ride quality is alot worst. i think it handled better on tickford springs.

Been through the king super lows. Although it looked good, you'll potentially have steering rack issues. I had kept my tickford springs and put them back in. The car rides and handles better with the standard springs. Don't spoil the ride is all I've got to say.

good choice on the short shocks. from what i've been advised from people in the know. anything under Low/XR height should have a shortened shock.

Referring back to the OP, this is my LWB sitting on King Lows all around. Hope this gives you an idea of height.

I have SSL's on my series2 XR8 and it does rub a little on steep driveways but it handles much better and looks 100% better

I only went with Monroe at the time because of pricing, but they felt good in the car!
i'm not a shock absorber connoisseur but all i was saying is the shortened shock will allow the car to sit lower on the exact same spring, and should theoretically mean the the shocks are operating within the travel range they are meant to, instead of the last little bit of travel as most cars with very low springs and stock shocks do.

To the OP
also have a look at putting larger bump stops in it made from a polyurethane material, this will make the car hit the bump stops sooner, and should lessen any tyre rubbing issues, but also if you use polyurethane ones it will limit even further the amount of travel of the suspension even once it hits the bump stop.

anyone can correct me if im wrong, but from what ive learnt from others and from my old AU and my Current BF these are just little things that all work together when a car is lowered.

gave pedders a call they told me that shorter shox will not lower the car , its up to the springs , think im going to go with AURORA springs there made in adelaide and i believe are better quality than kings and should sit about 40mm lower
