It has to be found before it can be covered, hence the need for a check

I struggle with the concept of doing 10 return trips between Sydney and Brisbane and not bothering to check it for another 5 -10 return trips.

But that's just me

Ok, so what would they look for during a safety check which is in addition to the standard service schedule?

20 return trips between Sydney and Brisbane would include 3 scheduled services if by the book and anything safety related would/should be identified during those services if the bloke doing the job is worth his coin.

I struggle to understand why a 16 month old car with 20k on the clock would require an additional safety check beyond normal scheduled servicing.

But that's just me.
