Default 2023 Colour Trends

Not a fan of Paul Gover's writing, but I always find discussion on colour interesting.

Green is good at BMW as colour enjoys resurgence -

https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-new...oys-resurgence

“For me, the hottest colour this year is green. In all the different shades,” the head of BMW Colour and Material Design, Annette Baumeister, told CarExpert.

“We weren’t sure if we could make this shift. But we made it and that’s amazing,” she said.

“I’m not only talking about our company. I’m also seeing a lot of beautiful greens on other cars.

“It’s great to see these greens. And also greys that have a hint of green.”

I hope so.
I was turning left at an intersection waiting for 2 rows of traffic passing in front of me and it was a sea of white, black and greys. No colour whatsoever.
And we are partly to blame with only 1 of 4 cars coloured (the oldest one, no surprise). A black ute, a white AU and a silver Terry.

I go the other way with three reds, 1 blue, 1 white. I wish I got the Ranger in red or blue though.

BMW Signal Green looks mint,

I liked the era of the FG Falcon with Nitro and Octane - mint colors.

However since all my cars live outside, white is the only choice I will make, last time I got something other than white the paint oxidised and the clear coat came off in about 5 years.

I'm really liking dark, British-Racing-Green type greens at the moment.

This colour is called Brewster Green, a paint-to-sample colour that makes this GT3 Touring a bit of a sleeper compared to some of the wild purples, blues and oranges currently doing the rounds. Teamed with a tan interior, perfection!

I'd love to do something similar with the Mustang, say Dark Highland Green from the Bullitt, combined with the tan "Emberglo" leather interior.

mmmm, green. notice that gorgeous white panel van in the background.

Mentioned to an older guy driving a newish candy red Mazda how great it was to see in a field of grey and white at Aldi's recently.

Also recently a dark green Mustang.

Agreed! Photos don't do this stunning colour justice.

It's apparently a nightmare to blend repairs though, and super stone-chip prone.
