Can the political rubbish be kept out of this?

The person involved in sending the warning is public servent.
Not a member of a political party.

get your student neighbour on a visa , to steel your car , then hire it out to a wedding group , and safely return the vehicle . and no laws will be broken , as long as he doesnt own the car , and doesnt have a licence . then he can buy you a gift with his earnings . while he sues the govt for hurting himself whilst exiting the vehicle , and being offended and discriminated against , because of the cross hanging from the mirror . LOL . <<< ( I JUST MADE THIS UP ) ITS PROBABLY NOT TRUE , but nothing surprises me .

so much hate towards politicians who run this country. seems you have to be a total dick to get into a position of power, yet we get the choice of two total morons to lead us from each election. I HATE what australia is becoming.

I don’t know about other states, but in WA these tough laws are a sop to the stupid messed up taxi industry.
Taxi industry has been mismanaged since year dot, to the point where you basically need to win Powerball to buy a set of plates. The some of the poor smucks who actually drive the taxis, have the cheek to object to getting bashed, robbed, and puked on, so they stay away from Friday night hotspots.
The government can’t deregulate, because then those who invested zillions in the plates will lose out, and so it just keeps getting worse and worse.
So of course it very quickly got to the point where you could order a chauffeured Mercedes Limo, for less than the cost of a taxi. So government implemented ridiculous rules for SCVs to stop them competing with taxis. So of course a lot of people then just said FU to the government and have been running these services of the sly. If you’re flying into Perth, you can have someone collect you in a $100k and drive you to your hotel, for about half the cost of a Taxi (cash.) Similarly if you’re going out for drinks, there are plenty of “off the books” options.
Weddings are a whole other side-line, as anyone with a faker-shaker can rent themselves out.

In regards to this story, I highly doubt that the government is staking out every wedding and checking the cars. More than likely these guys are either advertising in some way, or have been dobbed in.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't they have to prove it was done for "Hire or reward".

This country's stuffed!

But it's still the greatest country in the world.

So where does that leave us?

You also need a responsible serving of alcohol license, and a food handling license.

The only problem why we need all this bureaucratic bulldust is because a couple of idiots do the wrong thing (due to completely lacking any sense) and everybody else has to follow idiotic rules.

For some people, washing your hands after you blow your nose is completely foreign. Likewise for not washing your hands after visiting the bathroom.

'Duh, really?'

I am fine with RSA though.

In Glen Waverley, JG Dumpling restaurant was closed down due to crap food-handling practices - the owner's second conviction.

Though a little off topic, my point is that the system would be fine, but you get idiots who do the wrong thing and as a result, the legitimate cases get screwed over...

Dont worry about it cause you must be PAID to be a "hired"
So you can be done for it.
As HIRE CAR is the point of the legislation.
Lending the car to a mate is not a HIRE CAR
very big difference.

Hire car companies probably complained because we're not all sheep who want White Statos/Caprices or obnoxious Pink Hummers as wedding cars, because that's all I ever see getting round with Chauffeur plates on these days!
