Default Mk. 2 Essy wiring question

Hi all.

Am trying to get my reverse lamps to work in order to pass safety inspection. I've checked the globes, cleaned and tested the connections, but no luck.
I see on the wiring diagram in the manual that an earth lead goes from both reverse lights to a reverse lamp switch, which is earthed.

Can anyone tell me where the reverse switch is located? Logic tells me somewhere on or near the gearbox, but if anyone knows for sure then I would really appreciate the help.

Cheers and beers,
Dan.

It screws into the extension housing right next to the gear shift. It is easyer to see from underneath.

yup, there should be a plug coming out the side at the end of the switch which, as stated, can be easily seen from underneath. check that the wire is there and in good condition.
