ripper result man with 1700kg on board! (wish they were that weight to start with!) So is there room to shed more FAT, or will it be a hunt for more POWER/tuning?

From memory the 60ft was 1.53 or 1.57 can't remember Chris has the slips at his shop.

Most pedders stores can organise 90/10 shocks.

Cheers Craig

where can we see the cars specs?

boost, cam grinds, POWER at the wheels?, etc...

Well done by the way, but there is alot more you can get outta the old girl, just remember those crumy RB30's are running 10's with ease (and N/A clevelands, chevs).....and you have a 5.4L BLOWN!!! some more research and experimentation should see a 9.XX

I don't think there is too many 10 sec N/A clevelands and Chevs that see regular street duties. I'm sure although Chris's car was not in "street trim" he is aiming at providing a 10 second package for his customers that can be used everyday, be reliable and econical.
He has allready had 1 package that he drove to work everyday, Wallan to Camberfield that ran 11.0's after dropping pipes.

great 60ft, thats what im aiming for now, dont have the grip at the moment.
i rang pedders and they can only supply koni adjustables which are like $800, they said that they do not do them anymore (re-valved that is).

Also, nothing spectacular has been done to the suspension in this car only front 90/10 shocks, the rear is stock XR8. We learn't quite a lot on sunday at heathcote, a very rewarding day indeed. I wish everyday was sunday at heathcote.

Besides would you rather have a car that will run a ten as soon as you get on the throttle,or run a nine after sitting there for 3 or 4 seconds spooling...

At the end of the day this thread is all about the new BOSS record of 10.93 not comparing crappadores and BOSS utes. Start a new thread if you want to go there.

It was a fair comparison though. Both engines are entirely different and cant be compared. big Cubes + low boost > small cubes + big boost.

Well done Mate!! I am disappointed I did not find out about this to my visit the other day!! Is an awesome result and no one else deserves it more than you, the sheer work load you throw at the scene is massive. Your enthusiasim has inspired many others too, including myself! I look forward to the ute thumping into the 9's. I hope to be there.

I've lost track of the BA/BF hipo stuff. Is anyone making stronger rear end components so you can repeat the dose in a sedan?

Well done on getting into the 10's. I'm new to these computer motors lol.. Love a carby but I must say these things work.. I thought this news would have broke awhile ago. Is there that much diffrents in weight between V8's & the 6 ? I only ask because the 6 was into the 10's ages ago and thought a V8 would have been there aswell. Good luck on the 9's. Go on put a bottle on it lol..

There are a couple of companies working on stronger CV's for sedans, but prices will be high.

Only one place has them out atm, $55oo fitted to your irs cradle. But they are good for atleast 1ooorwhp, just by looking at them i'd say probally double that to.
